We must be saved by hope.
The one who draws cathedral plans
must give them into other hands
before they cleave the sky.
We must be saved by hope.
We must be saved by faith.
The beautiful, the true, the good
make little sense, until we step
outside the bounds of present tense:
We must be saved by faith.
However strong we are,
however proud or great,
no thing on earth, however fine
can e'er be done by one alone:
We all are saved by love.
